Optomap Ultra-Widefield Retinal Imaging
The Optomap Ultra-Widefield Retinal Camera provides laser imaging scans of the layers of the retina and optic nerve at the back of the eye. This instrument is a non-invasive technology that is vital in identifying and managing diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and glaucoma before vision changes occur.
Optical Coherence Tomography
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina and optic nerve. With OCT, each of the retina’s distinctive layers can be seen, allowing your optometrist to map and measure their thickness, and detect microscopic changes over time. These measurements help with early detection, diagnosis and treatment guidance for retinal diseases and conditions, particularly macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease.
Humphrey Visual Field and Frequency Doubling Technology
These instruments measure an individual’s field of vision, including central and peripheral vision, to help detect early glaucoma changes and other ocular conditions. Visual field testing can even detect diseases in the brain that affect the visual pathway such as tumors, stroke, and aneurysms.
Modern Vision Correction
From electronic phoropters which allow for quick and precise refractions; to digital eyeglass measurements; to 3D mapping of the cornea for complex contact lens fitting; to our onsite lens edging lab: you can be sure that your eyeglasses and contact lenses will be measured and made using modern, cutting-edge technology.
